Marsha's photography has been published in newspapers, magazines and books in the UK and abroad. After graduating in 1991 from the acclaimed documentary photography course at Newport College run by Magnum photographer David Hurn (www.magnumphotos.com) her work was seen by Prague documentary photographer Markéta Luskačová (www.marketaluskacova.com) who became Marsha’s mentor.

Marsha went on to work for the Daily Telegraph, then freelance for the Observer and Guardian. She covered women's stories for ELLE and Marie Claire including photographing Colonal Gaddafi’s female bodyguards, and H M Prison Bullwood Hall. She was Picture Editor on Sky Magazine, Cosmopolitan and Harpers & Queen (now Harper’s Bazaar) and later a freelance Picture Editor for the Observer and Guardian. She helped to launch the Observer Food Magazine in 2001.

For many years Marsha has collaborated with broadcaster, writer and Gardener’s World presenter Monty Don. They have worked together on several books including The Home Cookbook; Gardening at Longmeadow; Nigel, My Family and Other Dogs, The Complete Gardener and The Gardening Book (2023). She takes pictures for his website www.montydon.com and you will often see her work featured on his Instagram, with followers of 1.1million.

Marsha is running wellbeing photography workshops aimed at the connection between nature, people and wellbeing. These take place in outstanding gardens across the UK.
